You are what you think

Just like eating unhealthy foods will make your body unhealthy, thinking negative things about herpes will make them more and more true in your life. Words have power. Be careful what you tell yourself. Someone very important is always listening to what you say. Your subconscious mind is incredibly potent. Telling yourself horrible things about herpes is to your mind is what hunkering down in front of the TV and eating Twinkies with gravy on top is to your body: It makes you feel psychically heavy and lethargic. It’s no good for you to weigh down your mind like that; dwelling in shame and self-pity only makes the hole deeper instead of lifting us out of it. Think of all things that you consume and interact with in this way. Are they healthy for you? The news you watch, the food you eat, the friends you surround yourself with and what you choose to focus on ...

So consume healthy thoughts that reinforce the truth about herpes instead of the myths. You will probably find that others might even be more understanding about it than you are with yourself.

So be strong in who you know yourself to be and herpes will cease to have power over you.
