The history: groups that used to meet in Iowa
The ASHA HELP network covered Iowafor years. Below is every chapter I've been able to document, with sources. If any of these still meet and I've marked them defunct in error, tell me on the group page and I'll update the record.
DSMHSV (Des Moines). Des Moines
DSMHSV was the Des Moines indie HSV-positive support group that appeared after the original ASHA HELP roster was already shrinking. It ran out of dsmhsv.com (a dedicated website) and was on ASHA's 2015 directory snapshot but was NOT in the 2008 ASHA HELP roster, which makes it a post-HELP-era effort rather than a continuation. By 2026 the website is dead and there's no ASHA listing for Iowa. If you're in central Iowa, the waitlist below is the active option I can offer.
